Give Without Remembering!

One day a beggar by the roadside asked for alms from Alexander the Great as he passed by.

The man was poor and wretched and had no claim upon the great ruler, no right even to lift a solicitous hand. Yet the Emperor threw him several gold coins.

A courtier to the young Alexander the Great was astonished at his generosity and commented, “Your Highness, copper coins would adequately meet a beggar’s need. Why give him gold coins?”

Alexander responded in royal fashion, “Copper coins would suit the beggar’s need, but gold coins suit Alexander’s giving.”

NO ONE HAS EVER BECOME POOR BY GIVING.

ALWAYS GIVE WITHOUT REMEMBERING
AND ALWAYS RECEIVE WITHOUT FORGETTING.

As Jesus said: “WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN AS A GIFT, NOW GIVE AS A GIFT”  (Matthew 10:8).

What gift from God can YOU now give as a gift?

SUCCESS IN HEAVEN OFTEN LOOKS VERY DIFFERENT THAN SUCCESS ON EARTH.   BE FAITHFUL TO WHERE GOD HAS PUT YOU!
