Jesus’ Power Source

Share with your friends on Facebook

One day two homeless men were discussing the reasons why they were homeless. “I’m the fellow who never listened to anyone,” said the first homeless man.
“Shake, partner,” said the second homeless man. “I’m the man who followed everybody’s advice.”
Listen to Jesus in today’s Gospel (Mark 1:29-39), and you’ll never be homeless, at least not in heaven. We see Jesus getting up early and going into a deserted place to pray. To succeed in his life, Jesus had to go off and get in touch with the Power Source, his heavenly Father.
You think that you have a busy, demanding way of life. Jesus had to figure out how to handle all the burdens of his life. People were following him day and night to listen to his preaching and to be cured. Not an easy life, but Jesus knew what to do. He made time to pray, to see how his life fit into God the Father’s plan for him.

NOTHING AHEAD OF YOU IS BIGGER OR STRONGER THAN THE POWER OF GOD BEHIND YOU!

How often do you make time to pray, to get in touch with God, your Power Source? It is as important, if not more important, than all the exercise you do to feel good.

WHEN THE POWER OF LOVE REPLACES THE LOVE OF POWER, MAN WILL HAVE A NEW NAME: GOD!
