2000 years ago a philosopher by the name of Epictetus (50 AD to 135 AD) said, “Men are disturbed not by things that happen, but by their OPINION of the things that happen.”
This is the problem the Pharisees had with Jesus. Their understanding of the events in the life of Jesus tell us more about WHO THEY ARE than it does about who Jesus is.
And this is our problem today as well. A person who loves, will live in a loving world. But a person who is hostile, will live in a world that is hostile.
A person who is sincere, will see most everyone else’s actions as sincere, while the person who is a hypocrite, will see hypocrisy even in the most sincere of people.

Do YOU believe that the words of Epictetus are accurate and true? Are the people YOU are attracted to on television and the ones YOU listen to — loving and sincere, or are they hostile and hypocritical? Depending on WHO THEY ARE, the world they create for YOU, is a reflection of this – a loving and a sincere world or a hostile and a hypocritical world.
