Things You Control!

Share with your friends on Facebook

One of the main things I heard from people during the pandemic, is how their lives were so out of control. People could not do what they had been doing for a lifetime.

But there are at least 26 things that are completely under your control. These are the ones that help you to live a happy, joyful and fulfilled life, no matter the pandemic or anything else that might be going on in your life:

Your beliefs

Your attitude

Your thoughts

Your perspective

How honest you are

Who your friends are

What books you read

How often you exercise

The type of food you eat

How many risks you take

How you interpret the situation

How kind you are to others

How kind you are to yourself

How often you say “I love you.”

How often you say “thank you.”

How you express your feelings

Whether or not you ask for help

How often you practice gratitude

How many times you smile

The amount of effort you put forth

How you spend/invest your money

How much time you spend worrying

How often you think about your past

Whether or not you judge other people

Whether or not you try again after a setback

How much you appreciate the things you have

Remember, YOU ALONE get to choose what matters and what doesn’t matter in YOUR life.

The Meaning of Everything in Your Life Has Precisely the Meaning You Give It.

What THREE things on the above list do YOU need to work on controlling?

WHEN YOU LET GO, SOMETHING MAGICAL HAPPENS. YOU GIVE GOD ROOM TO WORK!

My 87-year old brother Tom passed away on Sunday morning, March 20th at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, CA. He died peacefully with me holding his hands. I had been with him for his last 12 days. I’m sure Tom went immediately from my hands into the loving arms of Jesus.

I’m doing fine and am back in Florida for now. Tom’s funeral will be at Holy Family Parish in Inverness, IL and burial at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery in Niles, IL. The date is still pending due to the shipping of his body back to Illinois.

Tom was always very close to Jesus every day of his life. Right now Tom is enjoying a life he never dreamed possible. Thank you so much for your support and prayers.
