Who’s Your Neighbor?

Share with your friends on Facebook

A decently dressed homeless person in a well-to-do neighborhood was watching as moving van after moving van was unloading large screen TV’s, stereo equipment and even a Jacuzzi for a newly acquired townhouse. When he determined who the new owner was he approached him.

“Welcome to our neighborhood….If you ever have any trouble with any of this equipment, I’ll be glad to help you.” “Thank you so much,” said the new neighbor. “But would you really know how to fix any of these?” “No,” said the man, “but I can teach you how to live without them.”

The man not the suit
The woman not the dress
The relationship not the ring
The time not the watch
The light not the lamp
The people not the place
The mind not the muscle
The liquid not the bottle
The drink not the glass
The present not the wrapping
Substance is everything

The important things in life aren’t things.
