On so many of the Christmas cards I received this year many people expressed their feelings about how glad they were that the frightful year of 2020 was coming to an end. Everyone was looking forward to a much better year in 2021. This same sentiment is echoed by just about everyone with a camera in front of them on TV.
Just as in 2020, I have no control over what a vaccine will or will not do. I have no control over some new strain of the virus. I did what I thought was my best when I voted on November 3rd. Now there is little I can do with what the politicians are up to in Washington, DC or my state capital.
But in 2021 there is something I can control. In 2021 I know that I have to keep telling myself over and over and over again every day that — I AM A CHILD OF GOD. And as a CHILD OF GOD, I know that…..
I AM MORE
I am more than happy, I am JOYFUL.
I am more than healthy, I am WHOLE.
I am more than alive, I am RADIANT.
I am more than successful, I am FREE.
I am more than caring, I am LOVING.
I am more than tranquil, I am PEACEFUL.
I am more than interested, I am INVOLVED.
I am more than adequate, I am TRIUMPHANT.
I am more than fortunate, I am PROSPEROUS.
I am more than human, I am A CHILD OF GOD.

What a difference it makes in our perspective when we really believe that we are a CHILD OF GOD, wholly unique and precious and blessed with an inheritance that we can never lose.
If you went into 2021 really believing that you are a beloved CHILD OF GOD, how would it change your life? How would it change your attitudes? How would it change your words? How would it change your actions toward yourself and toward others in 2021?
You are a CHILD OF GOD! Walk tall, be proud, rise above the ordinary and never, never be satisfied with less than the best that is in you in 2021.
AS A CHILD OF GOD, I AM GREATER THAN ANYTHING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO ME IN 2021!
