Have You Ever Noticed?

Have you ever noticed:

When the other person acts that way, they are ugly. When you do, it’s your nerves acting up.
When others are set in their ways, they’re being obstinate. When you are, it is firmness.
When your neighbor doesn’t like your friend, they’re prejudiced. When you don’t like theirs, you are a good judge of character.
When they try to treat someone especially well, they are being self-serving. When you try it, you are being thoughtful.
When they take the time to do things well, they are being a slowpoke or lazy. When you do, you are deliberate and careful.
When they spend a lot of money, they are being extravagant. When you do, you’re being generous.
When someone picks out flaws in things, they’re being cranky and critical. When you do, you are being perceptive.
When they are being mild-mannered, you call them weak. When you are, it is graciousness.

When someone dresses especially well, that person is showing off.  When you do, it is tastefulness.
When they say what they think, they’re being spiteful. When you do, you are being frank.
When they take a great risk in business, they’re foolhardy. When you do, you are a wise investor.

THE DIFFICULTY IS THAT WE TRY TO PERFECT OTHERS BEFORE WE PERFECT OURSELVES!

Jesus says: “Best not to point out the speck of dust in another’s eye when you have a plank blinding your own view.”  (Matthew 7:3)

What specks of dust have YOU been noticing in others’ eyes lately?

I AM AN IMPERFECT PERSON LOVED BY A PERFECT GOD!
